What counts as a dental emergency?

Self care at home in an emergency
If you have a dental emergency out of hours and have to wait for treatment, there are things you can do to control your pain.
- Sleep with your head more elevated than usual
- Use over the counter pain medication
- Hold a cold compress on the side of your face
- Rinse your mouth with a salt water solution
